Enclosed Non Linear Editing Suites (RCC-230) - The Rogers Communications Centre operates eight enclosed Apple Final Cut Studio 2 non linear editing suites. Located in inside RCC-230 all of the the rooms, including the standard enclosed non linear editing suites, are equipped with state-of-the art technology and are made available for advanced courses undertaken by students in the Faculty of communications and design. Five of these enclosed suites have been specifically equipped with advanced Colour Correction technology and are comprised of the latest generation eight core Intel Apple Mac Pro's and JL Cooper's Eclipse Color Grading Control Surfaces. The colour correction surfaces tie directly to Apple's Final Cut Studio's Color software and together they provide an advanced Colour Correction environment.

For monitoring the Colour Correction suites are equipped with individual grading monitors that consist of Matrox MXO scan converters that turn the rooms Apple's 23-inch Cinema HD Display into an artifact-free, true-color video display that provides for a vertical refresh rate of 59.94 Hz. With 24 frame RAW based digital cinema media on the horizon from companies such as RED Digital and Canon Inc., the colour correction process becomes an important and essential part of video and film production workflow.
