In addition to the numerous Labs that the Rogers Communications Centre operates it also oversees three small meeting and conference rooms that can be booked by Schools or Departments for meetings, or by Faculty for classroom and student meeting use. Their room numbers are RCC-102, RCC-329 and RCC-374.

Each of the Conference rooms have been equipped with Smartboards. Manufactured by SMART Technologies of Calgary, Alberta the 600i Interactive Smartboards combine a short-throw projector and an interactive whiteboard that starts up quickly with a push of a button.

The boards allow for the integration of classroom peripherals, such as laptops, DVD players and digital cameras. The projection system produces high levels of brightness and delivers a clear, crisp image for the room. The systems include optional speakers and a height-adjustable wall mount that provide for a complete multimedia center in the Conference Room. Information on the SMART Technologies whiteboards can be found at http://www2.smarttech.com/st/en-US/Products/SMART+Boards/Front+Projection/600i+SeriesGen2/Default.htm

For FCAD Faculty interested in seeing or learning more about these Smartboards please contact Jeremy Littler at jlittler@ryerson.ca or extension 2222 in the Rogers Communications Centre. For FCAD Faculty who requires use of these rooms please contact Stacey Merkoulov at smerkoulov@ryerson.ca or extension 5107 in the Rogers Communications Centre.
