Flowcharting Symbols - Animation Sequences
Delayed Animation Sequence: Indicates an animation sequence at the beginning of a screen that deactivates the cursor for a period of time. Once the sequence ends and/or the cursor becomes activated, the user is able to click within the screen again. Example: Refer to Harry & the Haunted House. |
In the main T.O.C. (table of contents) screen an animation sequence prevents the user from immediately leaving it and proceeding to the following screen(s). Once this delayed animation sequence ends, however, the user is free to click to enter any of the following screen(s). Example: Quiz Question 1 screen. |
End Delay: Indicates an animation sequence that occurs prior to proceeding to the next screen, once the user clicks. This symbol is placed at the bottom right of it's preceding screen. Example: Refer to Harry and the Haunted House. |
This example illustrates that once the user clicks to exit the T.O.C. (table of contents), there is an animation sequence delay before proceeding to the next screen (in this case, Quiz Question 1). As the user must click to proceed, the flow line leaving the Delayed Animation symbol has an arrow attached. |
